Deadline for all applicable facilities to comply with the latest amendments to the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) rule is October 31, 2007.
Amendments proposed by the EPA on December 12, 2005 to streamline the SPCC requirements are under review (public comment period ended February 10, 2006).
On December 2, 2005 the EPA released the SPCC Guidance for Regional Inspectors. Facilities can use this document to gain insight into how the EPA will enforce the rule.
