Dan A. Vossler Senior Scientist dan@tracer-est.com 805-346-6591 M.S. Petroleum Engineering M.S. Soil Science and Environmental Sciences B.A. Biology
Currently, Mr. Vossler supervises construction activities and business planning. From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Vossler served as the principal contact for over 200 remediation projects completed by Aman Environmental, a subsidiary of Dames & Moore. His 10 years of oil company experience as an environmental manager for UNOCAL and eight years of government agency experience provide valuable insight towards understanding options and long-term liabilities associated with remediation projects. His specific areas of expertise include the implementation of "remediation" techniques to handle oil field waste, having successfully engineered several large scale projects in California and Alaska. He has also managed large scale industrial plant closure projects throughout the western and central United States. During his tenure, the company grew to $32,000,000 in annual sales.
Previously from 1973 to 1981, Mr. Vossler was Environmental Coordinator for both San Luis Obispo County, California and Pierce County, Washington. He also served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Puget Sound, Washington and taught various courses in the Environmental Sciences. From 1981 to 1987, Mr. Vossler managed the environmental affairs for UNOCAL Corporation's Bakersfield area office and Ventura District office (which included all on-shore and off-shore operations in Southern California). His responsibilities at the time included obtaining permits for company operations, ensuring compliance with permits and applicable regulations, and reviewing engineering design and operation to minimize compliance costs to the company and coordinating environmental assessments on leased and fee properties.
