Ms. Jeanna Emmons is a staff engineer at Tracer Environmental Science & Technologies, Inc. Her main area of concentration is risk analysis. She is responsible for the documentation of Process Safety Management Programs (PSM) and Risk Management Programs (RMP) for facilities using regulated substances. This work includes preparing all necessary documentation for compliance with the PSM/RMP regulation, developing the Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and modeling the potential off-site consequences of potential releases. Specific risk and safety projects include the following:
- P&O Cold Logistics: Developed piping and instrumentation diagrams and prevention program documentation for P&O's ammonia refrigerated warehouses (Dallas, TX, San Antonio, TX, Carson, CA).
- C&S Wholesale Grocers: Developed management programs for C&S's ammonia refrigeration system at their warehouse facility in Chester, New York.
- City of Corona, City Park Pool : Prepared the off-site consequence analysis of a chlorine release as required by the California Accidental Release Prevention (CalARP) Program standard for the facility's chlorination system.
- City of Poway Public Works Department: Serve as lead Safety and Compliance Scientist for the City of Poway's Public Works Department (PWD). Tracer has a 1.5 year contract with PWD to provide safety compliance services. Ms. Emmons role includes holding monthly meetings with PWD supervisors, providing bi-weekly safety updates, conducting safety audits, and preparing environmental and safety compliance programs as required by Cal-OSHA.
Ms. Emmons joined the Tracer team directly after earning her Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Southern California. During her college career she took the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Kent in Canterbury, where she completed a thesis on Visual Binary Star Systems.
