Mr. Barney is an air quality technician for Tracer. His educational background is strong in both digital and analog instrumentation and measurement. His present duties with Tracer involve the routine operation and inspection of air monitoring stations. Mr. Barney does the maintenance, calibration and/or operation of pollutant analyzers, meteorological sensors, chart recorders, data acquisition systems, computers and their associated software and peripherals.

Mr. Barney conducts audits of air monitoring stations and performs data reduction. His previous employment involved calibration of test instruments and general repair of equipment. Mr. Barney has a strong background in mathematics, chemistry and biology. Mr. Barney is also familiar with programming in BASIC, Pascal and assembly language and advanced programming techniques and discrete structures.
